Review: Does Blog Defender Local Really Work?
In an age when hacking and cyber crime can easily shake corporations and affect international affairs, site security is a very important investment. Unsecured blogs make for good target practice or, if it is making a decent amount of money, subject for takeover. Fortunately, there are many ways to secure a blog as there are many tools that let you do so. The latest blog security tool that have caught our attention, however, is an upcoming product from Matt Garrett. This product will launch on January 29, 2020, and it is called Blog Defender Local.
This product is described as a security system for WordPress. It is a pair of WordPress plugins that make your blog practically invisible to potential attackers through a whole bunch of nifty features. This includes some useful site auditing tools; security features that prevent brute force attacks, nefarious traffic, comment spam, and cross site scripting; and tools that hide WordPress “tell tales,” monitors files and links, and blocks known offenders. Both plugins will also receive regular automated core updates to keep them up to date. This product will cost $17 upon launch (this price is set to go up to $27) and you can use this in an unlimited number of sites.
The launch of Blog Defender Local is scheduled to come live on the 29th at 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. We are going to update this page with more information on this product soon after the launch goes live. That said, if you wish to learn more about this new site security tool, do not hesitate to add this page to your bookmarks and return after the product is released.
