A Detailed Review of Facebook Timeline Toolkit

Earlier today, at 8:00 AM EDT on the 4^th of June 2013, web and graphic designer Miftahul Fuad launched his latest product, the Facebook Timeline Toolkit. At the moment, this product costs $10 and is announced to rise gradually to $20 in the long run.

The Facebook Timeline Toolkit is a product aimed at offline entrepreneurs. This is a Facebook cover template package suitable for photographers, designers, developers, entrepreneurs, and even those who just want to spice up their personal profiles. The templates come in layered Photoshop PSD files and smart objects, and thus are easy to customize. Also, the templates come at the exact size of the portion allotted for Facebook covers.

The graphics used in the templates are quite small, but big enough for a Facebook Timeline cover. You can choose what elements appear in the template, so it is possible for you to create a unique cover that would suit your business or personal profile. The templates are also clean and adhere to Web 2.0 graphics, making them suitable as well to non-FB web pages with a little editing.

The downside however is that you’ll need to learn how to use Photoshop, and we recommend the latest version for that matter. That said, you may also need to acquire that software, which unfortunately costs at four figures. Fortunately, you have cheaper options like the freeware GIMP, a Photoshop-like program in which you can open and edit PSD files. Also, there is an editing tutorial for the newbies so there’s little to worry about if you know how to use a computer.

Overall, the graphics are very nice to look at especially once they are set on your profile or fan page’s timeline. They do suit FB’s general aesthetics and won’t look out of place. The beauty of your cover still depends on how you choose your graphics and template though. However, customizing the Toolkit’s templates may be a hassle for those who do not own Photoshop or any graphic software that can open PSDs, and even worse for those who can’t figure out how to edit the templates.
